The short version: Scrivar processes your files entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, or access your documents. We collect only the minimum data needed to validate licenses and improve the product.
Scrivar is a product of Pound Pixel LLC. This policy applies to the Scrivar desktop application (Windows and macOS), the scrivar.com website, and any related services. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Pound Pixel LLC.
License activation data. When you activate a registration code, we collect the code itself and a device fingerprint (a one-way hash of your hardware identifiers) to verify your license. We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information during activation unless you provide it voluntarily (for example, when contacting support).
Website analytics. The scrivar.com website may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand page traffic (pages visited, referral source, general geographic region). We do not use tracking cookies from third-party advertising networks.
Support requests. If you contact us via the support form or email, we collect the information you provide (name, email, message) solely to respond to your inquiry.
Optional cloud storage. If you subscribe to our cloud storage add-on, files you choose to upload are stored in encrypted form on Google Cloud infrastructure. We do not access or read the contents of your uploaded files.
License data is stored in a MySQL database hosted on Google Cloud SQL with encryption at rest and in transit. Device fingerprints are stored as irreversible SHA-256 hashes. We use industry-standard security practices including access controls, HTTPS, and rate limiting on our API.

The scrivar.com website uses essential cookies only (session management, CSRF protection). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will use a privacy-respecting solution and update this policy.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Scrivar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of Scrivar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
